Ingredients

  • 2 cups Sprite soda
  • 1 cup ice cubes
  • 1 tbsp citrus zest (lemon or lime) optional but recommended for extra flavor

Equipment

  • Blender
  • Measuring cups
  • Serving glasses

Method

  1. Pour the Sprite soda into a blender and add the ice cubes.
2 cups Sprite soda, 1 cup ice cubes
  2. Sprinkle the citrus zest over the mixture to add a fresh burst of flavor.
1 tbsp citrus zest (lemon or lime)
  3. Secure the lid on the blender and blend on high speed until the mixture is slushy and smooth, about 30-40 seconds. You should hear a steady whir and see the ice break down into tiny crystals.
  4. Check the consistency; if it's too thick, add a splash more soda and blend for a few more seconds.
  5. Pour the frozen slushie into chilled glasses, allowing some of the icy texture to spill over the edges for a casual look.
  6. Serve immediately with a straw or a spoon, watching the sparkling bubbles and colorful ice blend together for a lively presentation.

Notes

For an extra citrus kick, garnish with a slice of lemon or lime on the rim.
