Ingredients

  • 2 cups frozen chocolate ice cubes or crushed ice for icy texture
  • 1/2 cup milk preferably chilled
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder rich flavor, sifted if clumpy
  • 2 tbsp chocolate syrup for extra sweetness and richness
  • to taste additional chocolate syrup for drizzling on top

Equipment

  • Blender
  • Measuring cups and spoons

Method

  1. Place the frozen chocolate ice cubes or crushed ice into the blender. The ice should fill about halfway for proper blending.
  2. Pour in the chilled milk over the ice, allowing the blender to move freely and start breaking down the ice solids.
  3. Add the sifted cocoa powder and chocolate syrup to the blender. This will give the slushie a rich, chocolatey flavor.
  4. Blend on high for about 30-45 seconds until the mixture is smooth, thick, and frosty. You should see a velvety texture with tiny ice particles.
  5. Stop the blender and check the consistency. If it’s too thick, add a splash more milk and blend briefly. If too thin, add a handful of ice and blend again until well combined.
  6. Once the slushie is creamy, vibrant, and cold to the touch, pour it into glasses. Drizzle extra chocolate syrup over the top for a decorative finish.

Notes

For an extra decadent touch, top with whipped cream or chocolate shavings. Serve immediately for the best frosty texture.
