Blueberry Slushie

Ingredients

  • 2 cups frozen blueberries preferably unsweetened
  • 1 tablespoon honey or simple syrup adjust to taste
  • 1/2 cup cold water or milk for blending

Equipment

  • Blender
  • Measuring cups and spoons

Method

  1. Add the frozen blueberries to the blender. They should be solid but break apart easily when pressed.
  2. Pour the cold water or milk into the blender. This liquid helps the mixture blend smoothly and achieve a slushie-like consistency.
  3. Secure the lid on the blender and start blending on high speed. Blend for about 30 seconds until the mixture is thick, icy, and smooth with no large berry chunks visible.
  4. Stop the blender and check the texture; it should be frosty and scoopable. If it's too thick, add a splash more water; if too runny, add more frozen berries and blend again.
  5. Pour the slushie into chilled glasses. The vibrant purple color should be vivid and inviting.
  6. Garnish with a fresh blueberry or mint sprig for a pretty, refreshing touch.
  7. Serve immediately with a straw, enjoying the icy, fruit-filled flavors in every sip.

Notes

Adjust sweetness as needed and experiment with different berries for variety. For a creamier texture, add a splash of yogurt or milk during blending.
